After a two-game losing streak, the Orlando Magic were able to turn things around by winning a home game against the New York Knicks 95-83.

While many considered the Knicks an easy team to beat, looking back at how the team started off these past four games, you’d see that the team had a record that was 1–3, with the two out of the three losses being games that the Knicks kept close.

Compare that to the Magic, with a record that was 1–2, and with the losses being close games, it’s easy to see how the game could’ve gone either way.

However, as Jonathan Isaac said after the loss to the Raptors during the post-game interviews, regardless of getting a career-high the most important thing is winning and if getting a career-high wasn’t enough to win, then it’s time for the team to rethink its approach on playing other teams.

Magic v. Knicks

And that is exactly what happened once tip-off began, for the first half the Magic trailed behind the Knicks by a few points, with the first half score being, 44–42, with the Knicks leading by only two-points.

However, as the game progressed, the Magic started to immediately chip away at the Knicks’ lead, and make a push for winning the game.

This push was led by many Magic players, such as: Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Isaac.

Vucevic and Gordon

As many of fans remember during the Magic at Raptors game, both Vucevic and Gordon played poorly, with both players scoring under 10 points, combined. However, after some much-needed rest and time in the gym, both were able to bounce back and compete at a higher level.

Vucevic and Gordon each ended the game with a double-double. Vucevic ended the night with 21 points and 13 rebounds, and Gordon ended with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

During the post-game interviews with reporters, Vucevic spoke about how the team performed well, but still had room for improvement.

“95 total is not where you want to be offensively, nowadays with the way the game is going, but it was better, we played the second half better for sure,” said Vucevic. “Defense, I thought we were really good in the 48 minutes, good win and we needed this one.”

Magic v. Bucks

The Magic will continue its three-game stretch at home with its next game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday at 7 p.m.

My name is Jonathan David and I am from a small town called Green Cove Springs, located in northeast Florida. Originally from Miami, Florida, my family moved up north, as I was entering the fourth grade. Once we moved, I eventually started getting into sports a lot more. I did soccer, basketball and running and pole-vaulting; however, the main sport that I pretty much keep up with is, basketball, specifically the NBA. Although I’ll occasionally watch track and field if it’s on ESPN. There were many reasons why I got into basketball, besides it looking like fun, one reason was because I wanted to be like Bugs Bunny from Space Jam, not Michael Jordan, but Bugs Bunny, and while my dream of being an animated character hasn’t panned out, I still enjoy playing and watching the sport. My favorite NBA team is the Orlando Magic, and I’ve been a fan since Lebron was in Miami, so when they eventually get good, people can’t say I’m a bandwagon fan.
