It was unsure as to where brothers German and Gemon Green would attend college. However, there was a feeling that wherever they went, they’d go together. On April 20, 2017, both brothers announced that they would be attending the University of Michigan. The brothers each took to Twitter to announce their commitments.

The two defensive backs out of Texas are extremely talented. Gemon is a four-star safety who is ranked 181 in the Scout 300 prospects. Brother, German, is not ranked. However, he is considered a three-star safety and make no mistake, he is a talented player.
This commitment comes soon after the class of 2018 ESPN Top 300 was released, in which Michigan already had five commits. Although the two brothers are not featured in the ESPN Top 300; they are two of the best defensive back prospects to come out of Texas. German and Gemon will only add to the high expectations for the Wolverines in the upcoming years.
Both coming out of DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, the two helped lead their team to a state title and a perfect 16-0 season. According to MaxPreps.com, they were ranked second in the state of Texas and eleventh nationally.
Being twins, the two are already much alike. Looking at their player profiles, both stand 6-foot-2. German weighs about 175 pounds whereas Gemon weighs roughly 165.
What Michigan is getting is not only two players who have an immense about of chemistry, but an extreme love for the game. Listed below, are each of their 2016 Hudl player accounts.
These two have high potential and both set the bar substantially high. This will be one of the first times that Wolverine fans will be excited to see “Green” on a jersey. The Green brothers are ready to represent the maize and blue to their full potential.
