The other MMA show going on this Saturday night finds Bellator MMA in California for the promotion’s first show of the decade, Bellator 238 from The Forum in Inglewood.

Bellator 238 is streamed wire-to-wire on DAZN beginning at 7 p.m. EST, 4 p.m. PST on Saturday, with the main card immediately following at 10 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. PST.

As is now customary, the undercard of this event will also be streamed on the Bellator MMA official YouTube channel in addition to DAZN and bellator.com/live and the Bellator MMA mobile app. In total, Bellator 238 will feature 15 MMA contests.

Highlighting the Saturday night show is the fight for the Bellator MMA Women’s Featherweight championship between incumbent champion Julia Budd (13-2) and challenger Cris Cyborg (21-2).

This fight, which marks Cyborg’s Bellator MMA promotional debut as a competitor, will be a maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round.

Contender Comparison

Heading into Saturday night’s main event, as was the case with Curtis Blaydes vs. Junior dos Santos in UFC on ESPN+ 24’s main attraction, both contenders are level in height. Budd and Cyborg each stand at 5-foot-8.

Champion Budd has posted a perfect 5-0 record in her last five fights, defending her title last time out against Olga Rubin (first-round knockout) back on July 12 during Bellator 224’s main event on Paramount Network and DAZN.

In the other corner, challenger Cyborg has gone 4-1 in her last five contests, winning most recently vs. Felicia Spencer (unanimous decision) in UFC 240’s co-main event on July 27 last year. Cyborg was released by the UFC within a week of this fight and was signed by Bellator MMA just after Labor Day.

The Tale of the Tape

Tapology shows that both contenders are also level in reach (69 inches apiece) heading into the main event on Saturday night.

Prediction: Draw.

Other fights on Saturday night’s main card include

Darrion Caldwell (14-3) vs. Adam Borics (14-0) [Featherweight Grand Prix Quarterfinal, co-main event- five-round fight]

Henry Corrales (17-4) vs. Juan Archuleta (23-2) [Featherweight]

Sergio Pettis (18-5, Bellator MMA debut) vs. Alfred Khashakyan (11-4, Bellator MMA debut) [Bantamweight]
